A Wax Pop with Purpose: Black Plum & Rhubarb for The Lily Foundation

This One's Special

Some Wax Pops are just about the scent. This one's about something bigger.

I'm so proud to announce a limited edition Black Plum & Rhubarb Wax Pop, with all the money from every single one sold donated to The Lily Foundation — a charity fighting mitochondrial disease. And the reason behind it is someone truly special.

Natalie's Marathon — and Lacey's Story

This limited edition Wax Pop supports Natalie's London Marathon fundraising as she runs in memory of Lacey Pearl Leggett, in aid of The Lily Foundation.

Natalie has a close connection to Lacey's family through her daughter's school, and this cause is deeply personal to her. Lacey was diagnosed with a rare mitochondrial disease — TK2 gene depletion — a condition that weakens the muscles and can lead to organ failure. Lacey passed away on 14th February 2014, aged just two.

When Natalie told me about her marathon and about Lacey, I knew I wanted to help. Running 26.2 miles is incredible enough on its own. Doing it in memory of a little girl who didn't get the chance to run at all — that's something else entirely.

What Is Mitochondrial Disease?

Mitochondrial disease — or "mito" — is a rare genetic condition that affects the body's ability to produce energy. It can impact any organ, at any age, but it often affects babies and young children the hardest. Every other day in the UK, a baby is born who may develop serious mitochondrial disease. There is currently no cure.

The Lily Foundation is the largest charitable funder of mitochondrial research in Europe. Since 2007, they've raised over £11 million, supported more than 1,500 families, and funded 23 research projects working towards better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. The proceeds from each Wax Pop sold will help raise vital funds and awareness, supporting families like Lacey's who are affected by this devastating condition.

Why Black Plum & Rhubarb?

I wanted this to be a scent that felt special — something worth reaching for. Black Plum & Rhubarb is one of those combinations that just works beautifully. You get that sharp, zingy rhubarb up front, then it settles into rich, juicy plum with soft pear and peach underneath. The base is gentle — just a whisper of vanilla and warm sugar. It's fruity but grown-up. Lush without being sickly sweet.

It's the kind of scent that makes your whole room feel a bit brighter. Which felt right for something connected to such a meaningful cause.

How It Works

It's simple: you buy a limited edition Black Plum & Rhubarb Wax Pop, and £2.00 goes directly towards Natalie's fundraising for The Lily Foundation. That's it. You get a gorgeous scent, Natalie gets closer to her fundraising goal, and The Lily Foundation gets vital funds to support families and fund research.

These are limited edition, so once they're gone, they're gone. If you'd like to support this cause and try a really lovely scent at the same time, please don't hang about.

Supporting Natalie

I've always believed that small businesses can do good things. We're not a massive corporation with a charity department — we're me, in my workspace, hand-pouring wax melts. But that doesn't mean we can't make a difference. Every Wax Pop sold is a small act of kindness that adds up.

Natalie is putting her body through 26.2 miles for this. The least we can do is melt some wax.

Thank you for being the kind of community that shows up for things like this. It genuinely means the world.
