Lemongrass & Crushed Ginger is a proper wake-up of a scent — all zingy citrus and warm, rooty spice, like a fresh ginger tea with a squeeze of lemon on a morning when you actually mean to get things done. It's bright and lively up top but with real warmth underneath, so it never feels thin or fleeting.
If you like a scent with a bit of kick — fresh and citrussy but spicy enough to feel cosy — this is one to try.
Scent Profile
Top Notes: Lemongrass, sliced grapefruit, grated lemon peel
Heart Notes: Crushed Jamaican ginger, cardamom
Base Notes: Russian coriander seed
It opens sharp and juicy — lemongrass and grapefruit leading, with a twist of fresh lemon peel that makes the whole thing sparkle. Then the spice kicks in: crushed ginger bringing that warm, slightly fiery heat, softened by a sprinkle of cardamom so it stays rounded rather than hot. Underneath, coriander seed settles in to give it a warm, gently spiced finish that keeps the citrus grounded and lets it linger far longer than a plain fresh scent would.
What to Expect
Wax: My signature soy-paraffin blend (I use a blend because it performs better and gives you a stronger scent throw — pure soy just couldn't deliver the same results)
Glitter: Biodegradable plant-based glitter
Hand-poured: In small batches, right here
Packaging: Compostable wrapper
Best For
- Sampling before committing to the full-size version (subject to availability)
- Mornings when you need a bit of get-up-and-go
- Kitchens — it sits beautifully alongside cooking smells
- Anyone who finds plain citrus a bit too sharp and wants some warmth with it
- That fresh-but-cosy feeling when the weather can't make its mind up
Why You'll Love It
Most fresh scents fade the second you stop paying attention. This one doesn't — the ginger and coriander give it a backbone, so you get all the zingy lift of citrus and lemongrass with enough warmth to carry it through the day. It's invigorating without being clinical, and comforting without being heavy.
A little Wax Pop is the easy way to see if it's a keeper before you go for the full size.
